Scientific Session Speaker Organized by Sylhet Osmany Medical College
A lecture was arranged at Sylhet Osmany medical college by principal Professor Ziaur Rahman which was very humbling. Attended by faculty and post graduate students I talked about new concept on medical education , experience from my personal journey from social activism, liberation war, professional carrier in American medicine, leadership in social and cultural development in USA. Our daughter Dr. Nahreen Ahmed shared her experience and thoughts on global health including her involvement in health care during active Gaza war. She mentioned about her grand father and grand mother for her main inspiration. She also encouraged women physicians from the audiences to share their person of inspiration since every family has iconic figure . It Went very well. My wife Dr. Fatema Ahmed also share her thoughts and insights of women’s health , responsibilities and personal wellbeing. Good QA session opened up opportunities for joint ventures and support for education and services.

রাজশাহী সাইন্স এন্ড টেকনোলজি ইউনিভার্সিটির আইন বিভাগের উদ্যোগে শিক্ষার্থীদের অংশগ্রহণে ব্যতিক্রমধর্মী শিক্ষা সফর-২০২৬ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। শিক্ষা ও বিনোদনের সমন্বয়ে শনিবার (২৪ জানুয়ারি) আয়োজিত এ সফরের অংশ হিসেবে শিক্ষার্থীরা রংপুরের জনপ্রিয় পর্যটন কেন্দ্র ‘ভিন্ন জগৎ’ পরিদর্শন করেন। সফরে বিভাগের শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীরা প্রাকৃতিক সৌন্দর্যে ঘেরা ‘ভিন্ন জগৎ’ বিনোদন পার্কের বিভিন্ন স্থাপনা ঘুরে দেখেন। লেক, নৌকা ভ্রমণ, সবুজ বাগান ও মনোরম পরিবেশে তারা আনন্দঘন সময় কাটান। পড়াশোনার চাপের বাইরে এমন আয়োজনে শিক্ষার্থীরা যেমন মানসিক প্রশান্তি পান, তেমনি পারস্পরিক সৌহার্দ্য ও দলগত সম্পর্কও আরও দৃঢ় হয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সূত্রে জানা যায়, শিক্ষার্থীদের একাডেমিক জ্ঞানের পাশাপাশি বাস্তব অভিজ্ঞতা অর্জন ও মানসিক বিকাশের লক্ষ্যে প্রতিবছরই এ ধরনের শিক্ষা সফরের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে ভ্রাতৃত্ববোধ, নেতৃত্বগুণ ও সামাজিক সচেতনতা বৃদ্ধি পায়। শিক্ষা সফরে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আইন বিভাগের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক ও বিভাগীয় প্রধান রাজিয়া সুলতানা এবং সহযোগী অধ্যাপক সানজিদা ইসলাম শিক্ষার্থীরা জানান, রংপুরের প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ ও ‘ভিন্ন জগৎ’-এর নান্দনিক সৌন্দর্য তাদের মুগ্ধ করেছে। ভবিষ্যতেও এমন শিক্ষা সফরের আয়োজনের দাবি জানান তারা। সফর শেষে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা দলীয় ছবি তোলা, সুইচ প্রতিযোগিতা, র্যাফেল ড্র এবং সংক্ষিপ্ত আলোচনা সভার মাধ্যমে দিনব্যাপী কর্মসূচির সমাপ্তি ঘটান। https://dailysonardesh.com/top-news/9934
